How to prepare for the procedure? 

On the day before and on the day of the procedure, the Patient should be hydrated (minimum 2-3 litres the day before and on the day the procedure will be performed. Thanks to this, more plasma is obtained, and at the same time there is less chance of a clot occurring, i. e. the need to repeat the procedure and incurring additional costs for the patient.

The patient should not take NSAIDs – non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, e.g. Ibuprofen, Ketoprofen, Diclofenac in all forms, also externally (in case of the need to take an analgesic, antipyretic drug) – one can take it 3 days before the procedure and 4 weeks after the procedure.

How to behave after the procedure?

  1. Do not overtire the limb for 2 weeks after surgery – no overload, in some cases immobilization for 7 days.
  2. A follow-up visit four weeks after the procedure.
  3. Beginning of motor rehabilitation – manual therapy/exercises – 2 weeks after the procedure.
  4. The patient should not take NSAIDs – non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, e.g. Ibuprofen, Ketoprofen, Diclofenac in all forms, also externally (in case of the need to take an analgesic, antipyretic drug) – one can take it 3 days before the procedure and 4 weeks after the procedure.
  5. The full effect of the treatment can be observed after 4-6 weeks.
  6. In the case of chronic diseases with severe symptoms it is sometimes advisable to repeat the procedure after 3-4 months.
